Where Neighbors in Grand Rapids Grow, Give, and Bloom.

Our Mission

Kind Hearts Bloom fosters community connection and well-being by empowering neighbors to grow and share flowers and food. Through collaborative gardening initiatives, we aim to cultivate joy, kindness, and meaningful relationships while enhancing the natural beauty and biodiversity of our neighborhoods.

How We Do It

Our Grow & Give program empowers neighbors to grow and share fresh flowers, herbs, and vegetables—bringing beauty, nourishment, and connection to our community. Whether you have a full garden or just a few extra blooms or veggies, you can take part at any level. With workshops, free or affordable plant starts, and support from experienced gardeners, we make it easy to grow and give. Join us in creating a culture of generosity, one garden at a time!

The Neighborhood Blooms Yard Share Program transforms underutilized yards into vibrant flower gardens. Homeowners donate space, and volunteers plant, tend, and harvest specialty cut flowers to support our mission.

Community Roots Gardens help neighbors transform front and side yards into vibrant, community-centered spaces that feed both people and pollinators. Grand Rapids residents can apply to join the first cohort of gardens September 1 -October 6, 2025.
